Case study

SwissGear

Running a $6.7M+ Shopify Plus storefront, its Amazon channel and a year-round launch calendar for the Canadian licensee of a global travel brand.

A big catalogue, a busy calendar and a lot of channels

SwissGear.ca is the Canadian storefront for the global SwissGear travel goods brand, selling luggage, backpacks and bags direct to consumers, on Amazon and through national retail partners.

I managed the Shopify Plus business day to day, and the work was mostly about coordination: keeping a 1,000+ SKU catalogue accurate across the website and Amazon, landing a steady stream of launches and promotions on time, and reporting clearly to the board on what was working.

Marketing calendar management

I owned the marketing calendar in Monday.com and used it to keep the design team, agency partners, and the marketing, sales, planning and inventory teams aligned on launches, monthly promotions and seasonal campaigns.

The website ran on the same calendar, with monthly refreshes and seasonal transitions scheduled against it, and every promotion measured on conversion, AOV, units per order and sell-through.

  • Calendar ownership in Monday.com
  • Monthly website refreshes and seasonal transitions
  • Coupons, flash sales, bundle discounts and promo pages
  • Klaviyo campaigns lined up with every promotion

Product launches

I coordinated go-to-market for 8 luggage program launches across 50 SKUs, connecting inventory availability and production timelines with marketing, sales, planning and inventory through to the post-launch review.

Launches ran across Amazon and DTC together, with product sampling, review programs and Amazon Vine enrolment to build early ratings.

  • Launch timelines tied to inventory and production
  • Sampling and review initiatives
  • Amazon Vine enrolment for new launches

Amazon marketplace management

I built and maintained the SwissGear presence on Amazon.ca, from individual listings to the Brand Store, and ran the eContent process with content partners so Canadian product information, messaging and imagery stayed accurate across every channel.

  • Amazon.ca product listings and A+ content
  • Comparison charts and the Amazon Brand Store
  • Backend search terms and structured attributes
  • Bulk upload templates
  • Image and video asset library in Dropbox
04

Amazon Ads management

Amazon advertising supported every launch and key promotion, so new products had visibility from day one and best sellers held their ranking through peak season.

  • Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands campaigns
  • Keyword targeting and bid management
  • Budgets aligned to launches and promotions
  • Performance tracked against return on ad spend (ROAS)

Product listings and website updates

I managed the storefront day to day and executed the rebuild of both SwissGear.ca and the B2B wholesale site. I set product page standards in Figma, ran QA on every product page, and confirmed templates, tags, collections and SEO fields before anything was published.

Liquid, HTML and CSS let me ship custom theme sections and promotional updates without waiting on a developer, and I managed the French-language site for Quebec with a bilingual copywriter.

  • 1,000+ SKU catalogue, merchandising and collections
  • Storefront and B2B wholesale site rebuild
  • Shopify Search & Discovery rules and filters
  • 2-pack and 3-pack bundles and cross-sell programs
  • Klaviyo, Smile.io, Yotpo and Trustpilot integrations

Email, SMS and loyalty

I ran the Klaviyo email and SMS program for a 100,000+ subscriber list, averaging $40K in attributed monthly revenue through segmentation, a seasonal campaign calendar and lifecycle flows: welcome, browse abandonment, abandoned cart, post-purchase, replenishment, loyalty and win-back.

High-intent and VIP audiences got early access, the Smile.io loyalty program brought customers back between trips, and Trustpilot and Yotpo review programs kept social proof growing.

  • 100,000+ subscribers across email and SMS
  • $40K average attributed monthly Klaviyo revenue

Reporting

I built Looker Studio and Excel dashboards and presented a monthly commercial performance review to the board of directors, covering traffic, revenue, conversion, promotions, CRM contribution and channel performance, with recommendations for the month ahead.

Behind the reports, I owned tracking and data governance with agency and internal developers, validating GA4, Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel tagging on every site release.

  • Monthly board reviews in PowerPoint
  • Looker Studio and Excel dashboards
  • GA4, GTM and Meta Pixel validation on every release
  • Review and sentiment reporting that fed product development

The record Black Friday

  1. VIP early access. High-intent and VIP audiences built from browsing and purchase history got the first look.
  2. Buy More, Save More. Tiered offers lifted order value across the catalogue.
  3. Urgency. Abandoned-cart flows and retargeting brought shoppers back.
  4. Final-hours push. A last wave across email, SMS and paid closed the weekend.
